1) What this app does (summary)
• Spell & grammar check, AI email writing, translation. When you use these features, the text you submit (and the AI’s responses) are processed by our AI provider (OpenAI) to return results. We do not use your text to train our models. OpenAI may retain limited logs for up to 30 days to operate the API and monitor abuse; then they’re deleted unless law requires otherwise.
• Ads & analytics. We use Google AdMob to show ads and Firebase for analytics/crash reporting. In regions requiring consent (EEA/UK), we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect and honor your ad/measurement choices, including non-personalized ads.
• You can opt out of personalized ads, withdraw consent, or request deletion as described below.
2) Data we collect
A. Data you provide
- Text you type or paste into the AI features (grammar check, email writer, translator).
- Support messages if you contact us (email address and message content).
B. Data collected automatically (device/usage)
- App events & diagnostics: device model, OS version, app version, coarse timestamps, crash logs, performance data (via Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics).
- Advertising data (AdMob): ad impressions, clicks, approximate location (derived), device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), to serve and cap ads. Depending on your region/choice, this may be used for personalized or non-personalized ads through Google’s ad systems.
We do not collect sensitive financial info, government IDs, or precise GPS.
3) How we use data
- Provide AI features: send your prompt/text to OpenAI API and return the output.
- Improve stability & quality: monitor crashes/performance via Firebase.
- Advertising & monetization: show ads with AdMob (frequency capping, fraud prevention, reporting).
- Compliance & security: prevent misuse, respond to legal requests.
4) Legal bases (EEA/UK only)
- Consent: personalized ads/measurement via UMP; sending your text to AI for processing (where required).
- Legitimate interests: app analytics, crash reporting, fraud prevention, non-personalized ads.
- Contract: to deliver the features you request.
5) Sharing & processors
- OpenAI (AI processing). We send the text you choose to check/translate/generate. OpenAI’s API retains inputs/outputs up to 30 days for operations and abuse monitoring, then deletes them; API data is not used for model training (standard API).
- Google AdMob & UMP (ads, consent). May collect ad IDs, app interactions, and coarse location for ad delivery and measurement, subject to your choices.
- Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics (analytics & diagnostics). Crash stack traces and installation UUIDs help us fix issues; minidumps are discarded after processing.
We may disclose data if required by law or to protect rights/safety. We do not sell your personal information for money; however, ad personalization/measurement may be considered a “sale/share” in some regions. See Your choices & rights to opt out.
6) Retention
- AI text & outputs (App side): not stored on our servers.
- OpenAI API: up to 30 days in OpenAI’s secure logs (then deleted, unless legally required).
- Analytics/crash data: retained by Firebase for operational reporting consistent with Google’s policies.
- Support emails: retained as long as needed to address your request.
7) International transfers
Our providers may process data in multiple countries (e.g., US/EU). Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or comparable safeguards provided by our vendors (Google/OpenAI). See their public privacy statements for details.
8) Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect children’s personal data.
9) Your choices & rights
Consent and ads
- EEA/UK: We use Google UMP to request consent the first time and when Google signals a required update. You can revisit choices inside the app (Settings → Privacy/Consent) to switch between personalized and non-personalized ads or withdraw consent.
- California (CPRA): You can opt out of “sale/sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising by choosing non-personalized ads in the consent screen.
OpenAI/AI inputs
- Avoid including sensitive personal data in prompts. If you need us to delete locally stored prompts (e.g., in-app history), use the in-app “Clear history” option (if available) or email us. OpenAI API logs are handled by OpenAI directly per its retention policy.
General rights (EEA/UK and similar)
- Access, correction, deletion, objection/withdraw consent, portability, restriction. To exercise rights or raise a complaint, contact arslantahir.engineer@gmail.com. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
10) Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures (transport encryption, access controls, least-privilege) to protect your data. No method is 100% secure.
11) Third-party links
If the App links to external websites, their privacy practices apply.
12) Changes to this policy
We’ll update this Policy as our features or legal requirements change. We’ll post the new version with a new “Effective date” at the top; material changes may be announced in-app.
